Cargo Handling |
Outbound (Export) Cargo
The air cargo that accumulates at Narita Airport comes in all shapes and sizes.
More than anything, experience in required in dealing with such variety. At its
establishment, NTAS had the ground handling contract for the all cargo airline,
Federal Express (known as "Fling Tiger" at that time), and has handled all sorts
of cargo during the 20 years since then. NTAS also has a great deal of experience
in handling special types of cargo including sensitive, heavy, and fresh cargo.
Special care is taken for dangerous goods and qualified personnel who have undergone
special training give instructions regarding the loading positions of such goods.
NTAS also displays considerable knowledge in its preparation of ULD. We take the shape of pallets into account to suit neighboring pallets and to suit particular loading positions, and work to use space effectively using special techniques developed through experience.
Inbound (Import) Cargo
When delivering imported cargo such as fresh goods, time is of the essence. At
NTAS, all staff are ready and waiting before an aircraft arrives. When the aircraft
arrives they immediately get down to work-quickly , but carefully. These speedy
and precise handling techniques are highly respected by all cargo airline companies
such as Federal Express and Nippon Cargo Airlines.

Transfer Cargo |
Cargo to be transferred must be dealt with properly, given
time limitations. At NTAS we make full use of the largest array of transportation
equipment in the ANA group, including dollies and loading vehicles, to ensure
that cargo is transferred smoothly. Staff skills and knowledge are all utilized
when pallet need to e rebuilt. The staff all work together and may rearrange
cargo in accordance with the time left before departure. They are able to quickly
ascertain cargo content and achieve optimum performance. It is our ceaseless
challenge to eradicate wasted time and to ensure that everything is completed
within the limited time available

Post Office Mail |
As with ordinary cargo, NTAS has a wealth of experience in
handling post office mail. We are fully experienced in all aspects of receiving
and handling over mail to the post office, including counting articles and checking
weights, and we process mail very effectively. In recent years we have also begun
to handle Surface Air Lifted Mail (SAL). We have been contracted to perform the
work from the processing of documents to transportation to Tokyo Central Post
Office, thereby performing an important role as a post office agency. |
